lich.Today is my birthday, I’m ugly and not normal like other dogs so no one dares to come close to me and wish me a happy birthday.

Today marks my birthday, a day that should be filled with joy, laughter, and the warmth of companionship. However, for me, a peculiar canine with an unconventional appearance, the celebration takes on a different tone. I am aware that I am not like other dogs – my appearance is not the typical canine charm that attracts attention. In fact, it seems to repel those who might otherwise approach to wish me a happy birthday.

As the day unfolds, I find myself in a peculiar position. I am alone, contemplating the irony of a celebration meant to be shared with others. My reflection in the puddles reveals a face that doesn’t conform to the conventional standards of canine beauty. Perhaps it’s my asymmetrical features or the unusual color pattern of my fur that sets me apart from the crowd. Whatever the reason, it has created a divide between me and the other dogs in the neighborhood.

The sun rises, casting its golden rays across the streets, but the warmth does little to dispel the chill that lingers within me. I watch from a distance as groups of dogs gather, tails wagging, exchanging playful barks and affectionate nuzzles. The joy in the air is palpable, but it seems to elude me.

I long for a simple acknowledgment, a pat on the head, or a heartfelt “happy birthday.” Yet, my uniqueness becomes a barrier, and the fear of the unknown keeps the others at bay. I am left to navigate the alleys and streets in solitude, my steps echoing the quiet disappointment that lingers in my heart.

Amidst the melancholy, a revelation dawns upon me. Perhaps it is my very uniqueness that makes me special. I may not fit the conventional mold, but that doesn’t diminish my worth or the potential for genuine connections. As I wander through the neighborhood, I begin to embrace my individuality, accepting that being different is not a flaw but a distinctive feature that sets me apart.

The day takes a turn when I stumble upon a small park, where a stray cat, wise and experienced, lounges beneath a tree. We exchange glances, acknowledging each other’s existence without the need for words. In that moment, I realize that companionship comes in various forms, and acceptance transcends the boundaries of appearances.

As the day comes to a close, I find solace in the realization that my birthday celebration need not conform to societal expectations. I may not have received the traditional wishes and canine camaraderie, but I have discovered the beauty in being true to myself. The journey of self-acceptance has become the unexpected gift, and as the stars twinkle above, I rest assured that my uniqueness is a cause for celebration, not solitude.
